No offence intended - and we are not talking the Pink Floyd record.
Sitting down here in NZ we are looking with some bemusement, and if we admit it some confusion at the current situation in USA between the Democrats and Republicans (only in that order because listed by letter).
Way I see it - the wall was a major policy issue of Trumps - and one he was elected on. I also believe that this is very closely tied to the attack on the 2nd Ammendment.
So why do a group of politicians think that they have the right to refuse funding for a key policy that the President was elected to enact?
It looks very like treason to me - the only offence that here in NZ still carries the death penalty.
Will this carry on by the Republican politicians not have a major impact on them at the next elections?
To me this is about as bizarre as the British parliament refusing to enact the Britexit voted for at their last election.
Maybe these two events are somehow linked - food for thought.

Yes - well i am sorta thinking that you would struggle to find anybody in SW Texas or S New Mexico opposed to the wall.
I think it is time for every western Govt to get the message that to ignore the will of the people should have some serious legal repercussions on their persons.

Yes - they are hard on illegal immigration and also expect immigrants to fit into their society - not the other way around. Looks like Trump is about to get his funding for the wall. Lets hope it secures things down south a little - have a couple of friends in South Texas who have taken to open carry on their ranches due to numbers of illegals filtering through their properties. Sadly it looks like our soft Govt is about to take a heap of the illegals that Aussie has locked up - just buying trouble for us I think.
