I was sitting out the other night waiting for a fox to appear at a bait site and noticed through the X sight II that I could see light reflecting back off a small reflector on a short ''peg''. I plant the reflector peg to remind me of distance and also the boundary of the safe shooting zone at night. The problem was that the illuminator was actually turned off. When I completely covered the exit lens of the turned off illuminator with my hand there was no reflection visible. I am more than a little puzzled and also concerned about unnecessary battery drain. Can anyone enlighten me as to how a simple ''torch'' can still emit IR light when supposed to be turned off? In the meantime I am removing the batteries so as to save their charge.
Due to having the same problem with my emitter I contacted ATN's tech support by email. They advised me to contact the individual on the email and they would make arrangements for a replacement. Hopefully the replacement emitter won't have the same problem.
