Have just acquired a 4k pro and wanted to see if anyone had experience with the factory rings that come with it? Specifically, if I remove the scope with the rings attached will it hold zero if I relocate the rings to the same picatinny slots? If it does, then I assume it should transfer from rifle to rifle if one is careful to return the scope to the same point on each weapon?
Yes, a handy feature...but do the factory rings that come with the 4k hold zero if remounted in the same place on each rifle or do you need more expensive mounts? I ask because, here in Australia, anything to do with firearms cost a small fortune so if I can use the mounts that came with it it saves quite a lot of money.
Hi Obiwan, I am using original rings with my scope. I am used to walk a lot in the woods carrying the rifle. My experience is that the scope holds the Zero well with the factory rings. Also swapping the scope on the Weaver rail proved to be repetable, no need zeroing the scope afterwards. Hope that helped. Vox
Hi Vox, Many thanks, that is exactly the sort of info I was hoping for...actual field experiences from people using the factory mounts supplied with the scope...many thanks...I will give the scope a try with the original mounts.
2019chevy: I am a new owner of a X-Sight 4Kpro 5x20, although reading many negative reviews. I have the scope setup on 6.5 Grendel upper and been to the range once without reading the manual. Since I've read the manual what little help that was, I'm ready now.
